Measures of Central Tendency Part 2

Mean - the sum of a set of values divided by the number of values in the set
eg. set is 6, 4, 8 and the mean is...
6 + 4 + 8 = 18
18 / 3 = 6
...therefore the mean is 6

Range - the positive difference between the largest and smallest values in a data set
eg. range of 1, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 8, 8, 9 is...
9 - 1 = 8
...therefore the range is 8
