Adding Fractions with Like Denominators

You could simplify them. 4/9 + 2/9 = 6/9 or 2/3 <--(Simplified)

The denominators stay the same. Only the numerator adds.

1/4 + 2/4 = 3/4

Eg. 1/3 + 1/3 = 2/3

3/8 + 5/8 = 8/8 or 1
